UPCOMING EVENTS
Student checkout has resumed! Book check-out is 1 week for K-2nd graders, and 2 weeks for 3rd graders.
ADOPT-A-BOOK PROGRAM
The Las Lomitas Library relies on the Adopt-A-Book Program, sponsored by the PTA, to provide new books for our library. Books are purchased by a family for library use and a donation plate honoring the student or requested honoree is placed inside in recognition of the gift. Then, the student of that family is the first one who gets to be able to check that book out! Consider making a donation today!

READ-A-THON HAS BEGUN!
THE LIBRARY IS OPEN!! YAY!!!
Welcome back to the library!! We are open to in-person visitation and classes are coming in once a week for book checkout. Don't forget to bring your library book(s) on your class' library day!
The library is still closed to students during recess and lunch, but the Quiet Zone is open for any students needing a quieter and more calming environment than the recess yard. Games, Legos, and art supplies are provided for student's enjoyment.
We are unable to have parent volunteers assist with library this year, but look forward to seeing you in the (hopefully very near) future!
ALL BOOKS ARE DUE BACK!
With summer on the very near horizon, all outstanding materials are due back to the library. Please return all checked out books by Friday, June 11th!
Books can be dropped off in the brown return bin outside the office door. Any fines for lost materials can be dropped there as well, but if you'd rather, they can also be left with office staff. Please be sure to have your child's FULL name on the check or envelope for correct processing.
Happy summer! :)

LIBRARY PROGRAM
Every week all students have a thirty minute period in the library where they listen to stories read by the librarian, their classroom teacher or a guest reader. Kindergarten students are joined by their Third Grade Buddies who help them find a book to take home.
Library skills are taught to enable students to be independent library users. Students are introduced to a variety of literature and informative texts. In addition to their class library period, students in first through third grades are able to visit the library during recess.
Parent volunteers assist with checkout of books and special projects.
